Prepared Dehydrated soup mixes made locally in Sherwood Park Alberta by Country Market Gourmet Food.
Beef and Barley Soup Mix
Ingredients:
Pearl barley, dried lentils, parsley flakes, minced onions, beef bouillon, thyme, vegetable flakes, bay leaves, pepper and garlic.
Cooking instructions:
Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan and brown 4 pounds of lean hamburger. Port off any drippings. Add 20 cups of water and contents of soup package and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover tightly and simmer for 90 minutes to 105 minutes. Enjoy!
Country Friendship
Ingredients:
Split peas, beef bouillon, pearl barley lentils, minced onions, long grain rice, and Italian seasoning.
Cooking Instructions:
Brown 1 pound stew meat or ground beef. Drain and add 12 cups of water and one can of tomatoes. Add the soup mix, bring to a boil and reduce heat. Cover and simmer for about 45 minutes. Enjoy!
Vegetable Pasta Soup Mix
Ingredients:
Pasta, lentils, vegetable flakes, onion flakes, chicken soup base, parsley, oregano, and garlic powder.
Cooking Instructions:
Combine contents of package with 8 cups of water boil then cover. Simmer for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Enjoy !
Vegetarian Bean Soup Mix
Ingredients:
Assorted beans, minced onions, pepper, paprika, dry mustard, salt, garlic powder, oregano, rosemary, and bay leaves.
Cooking Instructions:
Remove spice package and set aside. Rinse beans and place in large pot. Cover by 1" of water and bring to a boil for 1 minute. Drain and rinse beans and return to pot, add spice package, 4 cups of water and 1 can of tomatoes. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 90 minutes. This is a thick soup, so add more liquid and canned tomatoes if you prefer. Enjoy!
